Both were very friendly. House was spotless, incredibly clean and tidy, despite a slightly earlier check in. They had really thought of absolutely everything and for once really felt like a home rather than a blank airbnb. Card games, books, CDs, board games, kids toys/books, lovely refreshments as we came in, fire and logs. It was a brilliant stay!

Lovely gardens and all felt very peaceful and relaxing. Easy to find, Louise a great host who was very responsive and helped us out with local pub and restaurant recommendations. Would highly recommend, we are already thinking about returning at some point.

The farmhouse kitchen was a delight to cook in, well-stocked with all the necessary appliances and more. We appreciated the welcome pack of wine, free-range eggs, milk, and homemade jams – such a thoughtful touch!
The deck overlooking the stream was our go-to spot for morning coffee and evening relaxation. “The Hive” garden cabin was an unexpected delight, offering a cozy retreat whether for some quiet reading time or just to enjoy the outdoors in comfort.
Our stay was unforgettable. It’s a true gem that offers the perfect blend of comfort, charm, and tranquillity.

Set in the most stunning surroundings, it was peaceful away from the roads and well fenced in. Our dogs were able to roam safely off lead the whole time we were there.
Louise was responsive and warmly welcoming. The hive and campfire have completely won us over to come and stay again!

Initially we had planned to eat out but the cottage is so peaceful and... read more quiet we decided to stay put and eat in the garden by “The Hive”, a summer house, which is idyllic. It’s a sheltered lounge by the outside dinning area so we were able to eat and relax next to the stream.
The bedrooms were very comfortable and the indoor lounge is well equipped and a perfect place to relax before retiring. Bathrooms were spotless too. We can’t wait to come back again!

Would highly recommend adding the hot tub as this was the perfect addition to our stay. 100% would recommend!!!

Louise, Adrian and family made our stay very special. It snowed on our second day and they supplied us with a sledge for our granddaughter... read more to go and play in the next field. Lovely log burner, everything you could possibly need was supplied.
We will definitely be returning to this 5* cottage.

Very cosy place, cottage had everything we needed, including little touches like enough firewood and kindling to get... read more the wood burner going - ideal as we actually got stranded due to flooded roads one day (there was a big storm). It turned into a relaxing, cosy afternoon with a movie in front of the fire.
Lovely host, easy to contact and proactive about checking we had everything we needed. My daughter loved that there were cuddly teddies on her bed - and that the ponies had been brought into the field right outside the cottage.
Nice places to eat nearby, very good curry house and cafe on the main road for brunch. Thanks!

  Loved the cottage and very much appreciated the wine and other goodies that awaited us when we arrived - definitely made things easier. Louise was an amazing host, super helpful... read more and friendly. It was very wet while we were there but the cottage was cosy and warm. The kitchen/dining room would be a little small for 6 adults (we were 3), but the living room was huge! And lots of games, books etc (we did a couple of puzzles). Also be aware that the stream is at the bottom of a steep valley so not easily accessible for anyone unsteady on their feet. Though great fun for kids to explore. Perfect place for dog-owners with enclosed garden, hose for washing down after muddy walks, and dog towels from Louise.
