Ford Wetley Cottage is situated about half a mile outside the picture postcard hamlet of Ford, along a dead end road. Away from the main house and secluded by trees, in its own lawned garden and surrounded by rolling fields, in fact you can’t see another property. It’s the perfect place to stay if you want some privacy and seclusion!

The Holiday Cottage has three large bedrooms and can sleep 6 adults very comfortably, each bed with luxurious toppers for your comfort. We have two travel cots & a high chair. On the ground floor there is a double bed & en-suite shower room, ideal for an elderly relative. Upstairs there is a double bed bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a twin bedroom with shower room. A spare bed can be put up too for an extra guest. The oak beamed farmhouse kitchen is well stocked with a electric hob and oven, fridge freezer, dish washer, washing machine, microwave, toaster & kettle, and has a dining table. Across the flag stone entrance hall is the spacious lounge, again with oak beams, exposed stone walls, real log burning stove, comfy leather sofas, solid oak floor, TV with Digital Satellite & DVD player and an extensive selection of games, books and toys. We have a Sony Juke Box Hi-Fi, this plays CD’s, Radio, you can dock your Sony Walkman and iPod. It also has a hard disk which we have put over 4000 songs on for you to enjoy. We also have free wifi. There is a small step into the cottage and a step down to the ground floor bedroom, making it the perfect place for those not able to climb lots of stairs. The cottage is very warm and cosy and has full central heating throughout, along with the log burning stove. We supply all bed linen, tea towels, hand & large bath towels. On arrival you have a welcome pack of wine, our own free range organically fed hen eggs, milk, and a selection of locally made Cottage Delight products. There is also Eco washing up liquid, dish washer tabs, washing tabs and Molton Brown hand soap and moisturiser in each bathroom. As well as a small supply of tea & coffee for you arrival, oil, sugar, salt & pepper.

The cottage enjoys its own formal garden and is set in an acre of woodland which you’re welcome to explore, including two little brooks with waterfalls. This area is fenced off for our younger visitors safety. There is a wooden garden table and chairs with sun parasol and a  ‘HotSpot’ BBQ, which converts to a fire pit to keep you warm in the evenings.  If you are bringing your bikes, there is a secure place to store them and ample parking for at least three cars.

For a £30 dog supplement we welcome well behaved dogs, on prior arrangement.  Registered assistant dogs are free of charge.  Dogs are not to be left alone in the cottage and must sleep downstairs away from the bedrooms and furniture.  We have very high standards and want to keep our bedrooms pet hair free.  Please only bring  your dog if it gets on with other animals, as we have chickens, cats and dogs that roam around and lambs in the field behind. No puppies (under 1 year) or large breeds ie German Shepherd, Akita, Doberman etc
